Hallo,
nachdem ich ab und zu mal auf die Seite schau finde ich da folgendes:

OWB_1.19.lha 2.7 MB
libicu*-3.4 (7-Zip, 2.1 MB) sobjs.lha (1.8 MB) libSDL-1.2 AmigaOS OWB web forum
OWB 1.12 incl. shared objects (Aminet, 8.7 MB)
OWB 1.1 (2.3 MB, AmigaOS 3.x/m68k)

Man beachte OWB für AmigaOS3.x/m68k :-)

Scheint das auch die alte Fraktion ohne PPC mit einem zeitgemässen Browser rechnen könnte.

Mal schaun wie sich das entwickelt.

Hi Novamann

Ja Jörg gibt da mächtig Gas und hat mit Sand Labs und Andrea Palmat? auch noch Mitstreiter, die da das ganze gut vorran treiben.

Ich benutze OWB auch schon recht oft und finde, das er selbst in der noch frühen Anfangsphase schon recht gut ist.

Hoffe auch, das er für OS3.x weiter entwickelt wird und später dann zu einem voll funktionsfähigen Browser, mit all den Standardfunktionen und vielleicht auch mit noch zusätzlichen Sachen erweitert wird.

Es gibt eine neue m68k Version V1.2 ( 11.4.2008 ) mit diesen Änderungen:

- Added workarounds for keyboard event bugs of the old AmigaOS 3.x SDL
library, you can enter at least some basic chars now (0-9, a-z, A-Z,
space and a few others). Additionally <alt><cursor> and
<ctrl><cursor> can be used as replacement for the PageUp,
PageDown, Home and End keys which aren't supported by the old SDL.
- Added some speedups from the AmigaOS4 version.
- Now opens clicked links with target "_blank", which would open in new
tab or window in a real browser, in the same frame ("_self") instead
of ignoring them.
- Disabled GIF animations for now, they slow down everything too much.

Auch fürs OS4 ist eine neue Version V1.20 raus in der diese Änderung gemacht wurde:

- Optimized scrolling, now the moved parts are really scrolled and only
the new parts updated instead of updating everything.

Mittlerweile ist für OS4.1 die Version 2.10 erschienen. ;)

2.10 (21.9.2008)
- Updated to SVN revision 500 (image maps are working now).
- Window position and size are saved before and restored after
(un)iconify.
- Added AmiUpdate support, starting with the next version AmiUpdate can
be used to update OWB 2.x.
- Added an ARexx port. Portname OWB.1 (OWB.2, OWB.3, ... if you start
OWB several times), commands OPENURL URL/A, STOP, GOBACK, GOFORWARD,
RELOAD, GOHOME and SCREENTOFRONT.
- Implemented pointers for AmigaOS4, only truecolour ones are supported
which requires a Radeon gfx card or using SOFTSPRITE=Yes in
DEVS:Monitors/Picasso96. A pointer set from Mason is included. If you
don't have a Radeon gfx and don't want to use software mouse pointers
you have to delete all #?Cursor#? files in Resources.

Hast recht tommysammy, hab nicht mehr daran gedacht, das durch die Implementierung von Cairo, die neuen Versionen von OWB nur noch unter OS4.1 laufen.
Nicht so schön, hoffe das Jörg da auch für OS4.0 und OS3 noch neue Versionen raus bringt.

Ich fass mal die 3 Versionen hier nochmal zusammen:
OS3.9 = OWB V1.3
OS4.0 = OWB V2.8
OS4.1 = OWB V2.10

Läst sich die OS3 Version auch noch irgendwo downloaden?
Aminet ist nicht drin.

Ich vermute mal ,da ist Geld geflossen,das es nur noch für OS4.1 erscheint.Wäre auch logisch.Os4.1 bringt ja keinen eigenen gescheiten Webbrowser mit sich.Da OS4.1 ja jetzt die Chance bekommt sich durchzusetzten ,weil es endlich neue HW gibt,vermute ich mal ,es wird jetzt alles daran gesetzt ,sämtliche gute Programme erstmal für OS4.1 zu veröffentlichen.

Neue Version für OS4.1 ist raus.

V2.11

Änderungen in dieser Version sind:
* Split status/tooltip and progress bars, moved them to the bottom and using the Prefs/GUI Gadgets/Small font (RAfallback/8 if not set) for them (bugs.os4depot.net issue #12). Because of these changes in the gui the WIDTH and HEIGH tooltypes for setting the size of the webview aren't supported any more.
* Added tooltip support and enabled showing URLs in tooltips.
* Toolbar images weren't disposed, fixed.
* Added CONFIRMQUIT tooltype, if enabled a requester is displayed asking if you really want to quit OWB when closing the last window with the close gadget (issue #15).
* Creates single colour pointers from the true colour ones, they are only used when not running on a Radeon gfx card and SOFTSPRITE isn't enabled on other gfx cards.
* Updated to SVN revision 580 (gif anims, setting the mouse pointer and drawing the inner frame scroll bars currently don't work).

Von OWB ist die Version 2.14 (OS4.1) erschienen und es gibt eine neue Webseite von OWB.

Änderungen in der neue Version sind:

* Removed the AddressBook from the OWB archive, it's available on os4depot.net now (network/browser/owbaddressbook.lha).
* Updated to SVN revision 641.
* Added support for openamiga.org extended default mouse pointers http://openamiga.org/?function=viewproject&projectid=35 (bugs.os4depot.net issue #40) and moved the included pointers to Resources/Storage, except for contextMenuCursor which is missing in the openamiga.org project. If you want to use the included pointers instead of the openamiga.org ones, or own pointers, you have to put them into the Resources directory.
* Fixed a bug in the AutoInstall script.
* Built current versions of libxml2 and libxslt.
* If the CONFIRMQUIT tooltype is enabled it displays a requester when using the quit menu as well now (bugs.os4depot.net issue #44).
* Added GETURL ARexx command.
* If there is a 2nd %s in the BOOKMARKCOMMAND it's replaced by the pubscreen name of the screen on which the OWB window is now.

Änderungen in der neuen OWB Version 2.15 sind:

* The CONFIRMQUIT tooltype was only checked for the quit menu but not for the close menu when the last window is closed, fixed (bugs.os4depot.net issue #44).
* Using version 2.7.1 of libxml2 instead of 2.7.2 again, should fix some crashes.
* Built the current versions of libcairo and libpixman-1 as static link libraries, with the static libraries OWB works on AmigaOS 4.0 again.
* OWB 2.15 is linked with static libraries. Might fix the startup crashes I never get on my systems, but could cause even more crashes since most of the static versions of the libraries I have are older than the shared versions and very likely have more bugs.

In der neuen Version 2.16 von OWB sind folgende Änderungen:

* Updated to SVN revision 659.
* Changed default fonts to the DejaVu fonts included in AmigaOS 4.x and removed using computed bold/italic fonts for incomplete font families again.
* Changed the static libcurl to use Resources/curl-ca-bundle.crt in the OWB directory instead of DEVS:curl-ca-bundle.crt.
* Added support for extended default mouse pointers version 1.1 and moved contextMenuCursor to Resources/Storage.
* Disabled drawing and scrolling optimisations while a page is still loading.
* Added AmigaOS 4.x version number to the screen title, additionally it's displayed in new windows.
* Added COOKIE tooltype to change the path of the cookie file (bugs.os4depot.net issue #56).

Am 28.11.2008 hat Jörg Strohmayer auch für OS3.9 eine neue Version von OWB herraus gebracht.

In der V1.4 sind folgende Neuerungen:

- Didn't exit after printing the error message if Picasso96API.library
is missing, fixed.
- Fixed wrong CPU and FPU checks.
- Speed up text rendering.
- Added support for an unicode fallback font since even for exapmple for
greek the AmigaOS 3.x compugraphic fonts aren't enough. It's not
configurable yet, the name has to be "Bitstream Cyberbit". If you use
ttf.library make sure you do NOT use ttfcodepage nor a font specific
codepage (other than ISO-8859-1).
- Ported Andrea's ARexx port to AmigaOS 3.9 (hostname: OWB, commands:
OPENURL "url", STOP, GOBACK, GOFORWARD).

Ebenfalls gibt es eine fehlerbereinigte Version 2.17 für OS4, die von Jörg am 29.11.08 bereit gestellt wurde.

Für OS4.0 ist die Version 2.20 herraus. Änderungen sind:

-Some more small font tweaks, for example at 13px the bold Arial got a different size than the regular one.
-Updated curl-ca-bundle.crt.
-Reenabled drawing and scrolling optimisations while a page is still loading since it didn't fix the problems on AmigaOS 4.0.
-Disabled progress bar when running on AmigaOS 4.0, it didn't test it but maybe that fixes the freezes.
