Hello there,
I just acquired an interesting piece of hardware which I have not
found in the Big Book (or anywhere else for that matter). I'll give a
short description and enclose some pictures (more pictures will
follow). Feel free to alter the description to make it shorter/more
understandable on the site.
Manufacturer: Kupke GmbH
Name: A2000 Trackdisplay
This board replaces the power/harddisk LED board in the Amiga 2000 and
adds a display which shows which track of the internal diskdrives (DF0
and DF1) is being read/written. The main board is placed just behind
the front of the A2000, and is connected via a flatcable to a second,
smaller PCB* that connects to the floppy connector on the A2000's
motherboard. On this PCB is a small cable which draws power for the
display from another point on the motherboard**.
*note 1: because my phone camera is pretty bad I could not take a good
picture of this board. I will make a picture later to complete the
article
**note 2: I'll also make a picture of the exact place where the power
cable is connected.
I hope this is useful for your site. Please let me know if there is
any more information that you need..
Best regards,
Eric
