@Murmel: Eine MOS-Version wäre ja möglich, wenn es pures HW wäre (geht es überhaupt, mit HW einen mixed code zu erstellen?). Wo wir wieder bei dem leidigen Thema sind, warum nicht für alle Plattformen compiliert wird ...

Hab mal in die readme geschaut:
This is a small ARexx function library which started out as a
helper library for getting more information from http-handler
(comm/www/httphandler.lha).

It currently comprises of four functions:
RESOLVELINK (follows web redirects)
GETHEADER (get the HTTP headers of a URL)
GETSCREENLIST (gets the public screen list)
SCREENTOFRONT (brings a named public screen to the front)

There are some scripts in the archive which show the usage. I apologise
for the lack of documentation, but this has been used in a couple of projects
already and has been sitting on my hard drive for quite a while, so I thought
it would be useful to release it publicly.

Copy rx3h.library to libs: to install.

I make no guarantees as to the stability or usefulness of this software,
use at your own risk - standard disclaimer applies.

Wird wohl für mehrere Programme benutzt , MacLikeDock, NetSurfAdressbook, ScreenSelect_Data.
Programme laufen aber auch ohne, weil ich die nicht installiert hab.

Danke für die Aufklärung, Helmut! Das erklärt natürlich vieles. ARexx ist ja ohne Probleme nutzbar. Ich dachte halt nur, es handelt sich dabei im eine compilierte C-Bibliothek. Gut, das beruhigt mich jetzt irgendwie ...

OT: Habe gerad die letzte Folge von der extrem genialen Serien "Pushing Daisies" gesehen. Eine Schade, dass dieses Kleinod so schnell eingestellt wurde.

Da ich nicht die große Fernsehratte bin, kenn ich diese Serie gar nicht.


Und wieder gibts auch neue Version von OWBAdressbook.
In der Version 4.0 sind diese beiden Sachen geändert worden:

*Fixed a graphical glitch related to button placement.
*Added a date/time display to the main Address Book window.

In der neuen Version V4.3 hat PEB diese Änderungen gemacht:

*Now the address button list stays in the correct scroll position after a list refresh (such as when group items are hidden or revealed)---requested by H. Maier (Raziel).
*Improved scrolling with the arrow keys.
*Fixed a graphical glitch.

Kannst du:

Mit der rxgen.library , einer ARexx-Bibliothek kann man Funktionen beliebiger Shared Libraries aufrufen !

In der neuen OWBAddressBook Version 4.5 vom 13.08.2009 wurden diese Änderungen gemacht:

*Fixed yet another graphical glitch---reported by H. Maier (Raziel).
*Added the option to remove the URL from the link button---but still showing it as a hint.
*Now the AddressBook closes itself when OWB has been quit.

In der Version 4.6 von OWBAdressBook wurden diese Änderungen gemacht:

*Expanded the Preferences with more options (including the ability to change the font colors).
*The quick-links program is now a part of the main address book executable. So you no longer need the file called "QuickLinkBook" but you still need the files
"QuickLinks" and "QuickLinkPrefs".
*A couple of other graphical changes.

*The "Address Book" and "Quick Links" windows open in the correct place and size right at the start.
*The "Address Book" and "Quick Links" windows can now be iconified.
*The file "WinPrefs" is no longer needed, because its functionality is wrapped up in the one executable.
*If the "Quick Links" window is used without the title bar, it can now be dragged around by any of its borders.
*Fixed a bug that would sometimes crash the Address Book.
*Fixed a few graphical glitches.
